JCK Limited is conscious of the need, never to become complacent with our Health & Safety responsibilities. For this reason we have opted to have a full time external health and safety consultant for our companies operations, their details are as follows:
JCK carry out daily site safety inspections, and we attach a copy of the pro-Form we use. This information is maintained for inspection by all in the team, the planning supervisor can also view it during any site visits throughout the contract.
The results of all inspections are chaired at the safety group Bi-Monthly meetings, to talk openly about practices and if possible to devise solutions to any concerns.
As a company we are striving to move towards ISO accreditation on quality and safety, undergoing an evolution of our management systems.
We have systems in place for the following areas:
We compile a detailed site safety file for our site management team, it is not a document that is impractical and hard to read, it is geared to being a working document, which describes how we are going to do the job, and most importantly we involve the men that are going to be doing the job in its formation.
Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, Fire Plans, Toolbox talks, Briefings, Safe Behavior Discussions are all site documents that the men are accustom to working with on a day to day basis, the Site Manager regularly carries out review with the Projects Co-Ordinators.
We invite the health & Safety Inspectorate to our sites on a regular basis; this is beneficial for the employees to have direct consultation with the inspectorate and to become comfortable with a pro-active approach to safety.
All Safety Documentation is briefed to the employees prior to the commencement of operations; a briefing record sheet is completed for this
We collate records relating to incidents or accidents & hours worked on a monthly frequency. This provides the necessary information for the purpose of producing the company’s annual performance portfolio criteria.
